The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Incumbent Paul Aizley ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Vicki Dooling was unopposed in the Republican primary. Aizley was defeated by Dooling in the general election.[6][7][8][9]
