The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 11, 2014. Incumbent Josh Brecheen was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Joe B. Hill was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Vicki Gaylor ran as an Independent candidate. Brecheen defeated Hill and Gaylor in the general election.[1][2][3]
