Vicki Wright
Vicki Wright is a former judge on the Illinois Third District Appellate Court. She was elected to this position in November 2006[1] and took office on December 4.
Judge Wright was retained by voters on November 8, 2016. She resigned from the court on November 30, 2021.[2]
Education
Judge Wright received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1979 and her J.D. from Loyola University, Chicago, in 1982.[1]
Career
Judge Wright began her career in 1982 conducting criminal appeals for the Appellate Service Commission. She appeared exclusively before the Third District Appellate Court, where she now judges, for two years before joining the Whiteside County State's Attorney Office as a criminal prosecutor in 1984. She was appointed associate circuit judge for the 14th Judicial Circuit Court in 1991 and served in this position until her election to the appellate court in 2006.[1]
