The Victims Advocate Selection Committee is a joint committee of the Alaska Legislature.

Per the Uniform Rules, the presiding officer of each house appoints one-half of the members of a joint committee in the Alaska State Legislature. The resolution establishing a joint committee will also specify the date or conditions of termination of the committee.[1]
