Victor Roberto Garcia is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. He was appointed to this position on May 14, 2003.[1]

Education

Judge Garcia received his B.A. degree from Angelo State University in 1977 and his J.D. degree from Texas Southern University in 1980.[2]

Career

Judge Garcia began his career in 1980 working at the law office of Ortiz and Sumpter. The following year, he became the assistant Val Verde County attorney. He soon became the county attorney and worked in that position until 1985. During this time, from 1982 to 1985, he also worked with the law offices of Pendergrass & Garcia. He then opened his own law office, which he ran until his judicial appointment in 2003.[2]
