Victor J. Scavarda

Victor J. Scavarda represents Trustee Area 1 on the Hemet Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first appointed to the board in 2013.[1]
Scavarda ran unopposed and won re-election the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
Biography
Scavarda worked as a music and elementary school teacher in the Hemet Unified School District for 37 years before retiring in 2012. His wife Alice still works as a teacher in the district, and all three of their children graduated from Hemet Unified schools. Before joining the district, Scavarda taught in Australia and Idaho. He earned his bachelor's degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and his master's degree from the University Of California at Riverside.[3]

2014
Four seats on the Hemet Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Victor J. Scavarda ran unopposed and won re-election to Trustee Area 1. Incumbents Horacio Moreno Valenzuela and Joe M. Wojcik also ran unopposed and won re-election to the two Trustee Area 3 seats. No incumbent filed to run for the Trustee Area 2 seat, leaving the race to two candidates, Maurice Chacon and Megan A. Haley. Haley defeated Chacon to win the election.
Results
This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Incumbent Victor J. Scavarda won re-election to the Trustee Area 1 seat by default.[4]
