Victor Kenton
Victor B. Kenton was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was appointed to this position on July 2, 2001. He served on the court until July 2015.[1]
Education
Judge Kenton received his B.A. degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1969 and his J.D. degree from the University of California Law School, Los Angeles in 1974.[1]
Professional career
Judge Kenton began his career in 1974 working with A.J. Crowley, P.C. as an attorney. In 1978, he became a federal public defender in the Central District of California. He then worked as a private practice lawyer from 1982 to 1996. In 1996 he returned to his position as Federal Public Defender. He worked in this capacity until becoming a magistrate judge in 2001.[1] He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law.[2]
