Victor L. Hulslander is a judge of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by Governor Charlie Crist on January 11, 2010 (effective the following month). He replaced former Judge Frederick D. Smith. He was elected in 2012 to a full term that expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Hulslander received his B.S. degree (in Telecommunications) from the University of Florida in 1969 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1974.[2]

Career

Hulslander began his career as an assistant public defender in the 8th Judicial Circuit. He then became a private practice lawyer, working with the firm of O'Connell and Hulslander for seven years, as a sole practitioner for 15 years and with Hulslander and Griffis for five years. In 2005, he joined the Alachua County Court. In July of 2009, he became the administrative judge of the county court. He was then appointed to the circuit court in 2010.[1][2]

2012 election

Hulslander was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5]
