An effort in Rockaway, New Jersey, to recall Councilman Victor Palumbo, was initiated in February 2019. Palumbo resigned from his position on June 18, 2019. Petitioners were in the process of gathering signatures at that time.[1]

Recall supporters

Residents Eric Wekilsky, Suzanne Reck Barrett, and Mary Noon initiated the recall process over Palumbo's voting record, which they called irresponsible.[2]

Recall opponents

Palumbo responded to the recall effort. He said, "I was elected to vote. It’s a political move to recall someone because they do not like the way the person votes."[2]
