2016
Pichardo's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
“ |
Tenants Rights And Affordable Housing Like many of our neighbors in the 86th Assembly District, my family and I have experienced the challenge of securing and retaining safe, adequate and affordable housing. I know firsthand how important preserving - and expanding - affordable and public housing options are for working families. Employment And Job Creation With such a great number of Bronxites in the 86th Assembly District facing unemployed or struggling to make ends meet, I know that it is essential to find different avenues to connect businesses that are hiring with those members of our community who are looking for work. Public Safety It is necessary for our community to be engaged with our local precincts and law enforcement agencies. I believe our district can be safer and stronger if we expand accessibility to our precincts' community affairs divisions and community precinct councils. Education As someone who is a product of the public education system here in New York, having attended MS 143, DeWitt Clinton High School and SUNY Buffalo, I am well aware that our students are not always receiving the resources they need to have a well-rounded, quality education. I know that a good education is the most important building block to a bright future, not just for our children but for our community as a whole. Immigration The promise of the American Dream is the foundation of this country. I am proud of the variety of cultures and identities that make our district unique and vivacious, so I will work hard to support those members of our community who want to become citizens of this great country.[15] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
