Victoria W. Castro-Corral is a values-driven leader and Phoenix native running for Governing Board Member with Roosevelt School District. She is an advocate and educator with over eight years of experience working with college access and success programs. She was fortunate to earn college credits in 6th grade through the Jr. Achieving a College Education (ACE) Program. This early college program sparked her interest in education and has led her to fight for equal opportunity at all levels from kindergarten through graduate school. Victoria is a College Advisor and values creating pathways for students to obtain life-affirming, difference-making careers and futures.

I am passionate about preparing students for higher education and career opportunities, with a focus on reducing barriers for underrepresented groups. By focusing on early preparation, I can advocate for policies such as college advising, career exploration, and skills development from an early age, as well as funding initiatives that improve access to advanced coursework and extracurricular opportunities.
I value elected officials who make decisions that reflect a deep understanding and commitment to the people they serve. To actively uplift and support their community, a leader needs to have a clear vision for the future and the ability to plan with intentionality to achieve it.
My earliest memories consist of attending Diamondbacks games with my family. Baseball was my dad's favorite sport. His love for the game was contagious! As a little girl, I enjoyed spending time with my dad learning about the game. I vividly remember walking to Chase Fields and being excited to run the bases, dance to the organist play “CHARGE!” and hoping the blimp would drop a souvenir in my section. I was five years old when I attended the World Series in 2001 and witnessed this historical event for the Diamondbacks franchise and the state of Arizona. Today, I continue to root for the Diamondbacks and hope to experience another World Series Championship.
