Victoria Chavez is a judge for Division 2 of the California 2nd District Court of Appeal. She assumed office on October 28, 2005. Her current term ends on January 6, 2031.

She was appointed to the court by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on October 28, 2005.[1]
Education
Chavez received her B.A. from the University of San Francisco in 1975 and her J.D. from Loyola Law School,Los Angeles in 1978.[2]
Career
Chavez began her legal career in 1979 as an attorney with the firm Pomerantz & Chavez. In September 1988, she became a Los Angeles Municipal Court judge. She was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court in January 1992. She served as a superior court judge until her appointment to the California Second District Court of Appeal in 2005.[2]
