As a scientist, Issaquah Councilmember in my third term, and as a public school mom, I’ve championed affordable housing, public safety, and environmental stewardship. In Olympia, I’ll build on this record and lead on community priorities: K-12 education funding and affordable childcare, transportation and transit investments, housing to meet community needs, providing treatment for people in crisis, and support for small businesses. And with your vote, I’ll always fight to protect reproductive healthcare. I am honored to have the sole endorsement of the 5th LD and King County Democrats, as well as the King County Young Democrats, and King County Federation of Democratic Women. I am further endorsed by Eastside Firefighters; Washington Conservation Action; Labor Unions; Snoqualmie Tribe; County Councilmember Perry; Representatives Ramos and Callan; Mayors of Issaquah, Maple Valley, Snoqualmie, Sammamish, North Bend; and more.
  • As a climate scientist and land use planning expert with years of experience as a local elected councilmember in the district, I will bring unique skills to Olympia to help address both the need for more housing—and the urgency to protect our communities and health from hotter summers and worsening fire seasons.
  • I am a local leader and public school mom who will take on issues of safety, affordability and opportunity with real experience and a focus on data-driven solutions.
  • I am the only candidate in the race endorsed by the King County Democrats and 5th LD Democrats. I further have the sole endorsement of Representative Callan, who I hope will be my seat mate in the legislature, and Representative Ramos, who is the leaving the seat I am running for to run for the State Senate. I am endorsed my all of my fellow Issaquah City Councilmembers and the Mayor of Issaquah, whom I have worked with for years. My collaborative nature, as well as my alliances and broad support will allow me to hit the ground running as a legislator, to make meaningful positive impacts for Washingtonians from day one.
Affordable housing, safe and healthy communities, environmental stewardship, great public schools and affordable childcare, and reproductive rights.
Honesty, transparency and integrity. Listening to the community and seeking to understand all perspectives on issues is also extremely important.
5th LD and King County Democrats. State Representatives Ramos, Callan, Duerr, Doglio, Senn, Slatter and Stearns. State Senators Wellman and Kuderer. King County Executive Constantine. King County Councilmembers Perry, Balducci, Zahilay, Dembowski, and Upthegrove. Mayors of Issaquah, North Bend, Sammamish, Maple Valley, Snoqualmie, Bothell, Kirkland, and Redmond. Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Washington

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
