- As a climate scientist and land use planning expert with years of experience as a local elected councilmember in the district, I will bring unique skills to Olympia to help address both the need for more housing—and the urgency to protect our communities and health from hotter summers and worsening fire seasons.
- I am a local leader and public school mom who will take on issues of safety, affordability and opportunity with real experience and a focus on data-driven solutions.
- I am the only candidate in the race endorsed by the King County Democrats and 5th LD Democrats. I further have the sole endorsement of Representative Callan, who I hope will be my seat mate in the legislature, and Representative Ramos, who is the leaving the seat I am running for to run for the State Senate. I am endorsed my all of my fellow Issaquah City Councilmembers and the Mayor of Issaquah, whom I have worked with for years. My collaborative nature, as well as my alliances and broad support will allow me to hit the ground running as a legislator, to make meaningful positive impacts for Washingtonians from day one.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
