Victoria Platzer was a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Civil Division, in Florida. She was elected to this position on September 8, 1994, effective in early 1995 and she retired in January of 2013.[1][2]

Biography and Education

Platzer was born in Miami, FL on April 8, 1953. She received her B.A. degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1975. She then worked as a police officer in Miami Beach from 1976 to 1983. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Miami in 1982 and was admitted to the Bar the following year.[1][3]

Career

Platzer began her career in 1984 as a Hearing Examiner for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The following year, she became a private practice lawyer. She worked in that capacity until she was elected to the circuit court in 1994.[1]

2012 election

Platzer was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[4][5]
