Victoria Proffitt (Republican Party) is the Chesapeake City Commissioner of Revenue in Virginia. She assumed office on January 1, 2022. Her current term ends on January 1, 2026.

Proffitt (Republican Party) is running for re-election for Chesapeake City Commissioner of Revenue in Virginia. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 4, 2025. The Republican primary for this office on June 17, 2025, was canceled.

Proffitt's professional experience includes working as an adjunct professor of mathematics at Tidewater Community College and running runs her own small business as a bookkeeper. She worked as a public school teacher, librarian, media specialist, curriculum development participant, and staff trainer. She was named the Teacher of the Year in 1993. Proffitt's volunteer experience includes being a girl's softball coach for Chesapeake Parks & Recreation and a worship leader for First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Proffitt obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Norfolk State University. She went on to earn a master's degree in education from George Washington University.[1]

Four of the nine at-large seats on the Chesapeake Public Schools school board were up for general election on May 3, 2016. Incumbents Samuel Boone, Charles Bunn, Tom Mercer and Victoria Proffitt defeated challenger Donna Parker to win re-election to their four seats.[2]

Funding

Proffitt reported $3,507.34 in contributions and $1,124.43 in expenditures to the Virginia Department of Elections, which left her campaign with $2,382.91 during the election.[3]
