Expand all | Collapse all

Vijal Suthar was born in the Golden State of California. She is a fierce and independent businesswoman. Her family immigrated to the United States of America to pursue THE AMERICAN DREAM, and she is on the path to do so for herself and her community.

She was born in a motel, where her parents were getting paid $800 a month to live on the premises and run the operations 24/7. From an early age, she knew that nothing in life comes easy; you have to work hard day after day to fight for your livelihood. She lives by one motto: “If you don’t build your own dream, someone else will hire you to build theirs.”

After finishing her education, she pursued her dream of being a business owner and expanding not just within hospitality assets but also into hardware, finance, and the aviation industry. Her work with the largest Hotel Owners Association, known as AAHOA, where she diligently advocates on behalf of not only hotel owners but also small businesses across the nation for issues she cares about, will shape the future of the economy as a whole.

Since she started working at a young age, her early experience and education really shaped her ideology about doing the right thing. Being a young female owner pushed her to break the glass ceiling and understand the world better. She is concerned that we are not prepared for what is to come because our younger generation is not prepared, and she wants to lead by being their example.
  • Change needs to happen, I have lived in this district my entire adult life. We need to initiate change when it comes to the safety of our neighborhoods.
  • INFLATION, TAXES AND SMALL BUSINESSES. We cannot afford to own a business, our American Dream is dying!
  • BRING BACK SENSIBLE AND THE RIGHT EDUCATION. Let's not confuse our students! They are our future!
* Public Safety! FUND OUR PROTECTORS.
  • Bring back Sensible and the RIGHT Education! Parents Right to be informed.
  • Make ILLEGAL Immigration Impossible!
  • INFLATION, TAXES and Small Businesses
  • Health Care for Veterans and ALL and freedom of Choice

Campaign website

Suthar’s campaign website stated the following:

INFLATION, TAXES AND SMALL BUSINESSES
As a small business owner, Vijal realizes the importance of creating jobs for her employees. However, with the current state of the economy, it has been impossible for small businesses to stay afloat.

I believe we need to spend less elsewhere and lower taxes for businesses. Without businesses, there is no workforce. We need to help boost job creation by lowering taxes for businesses and cutting unnecessary spending elsewhere!

LEGAL IMMIGRATION
Vijal Suthar was born in California to legal immigrants who came to the United States of America to pursue the American Dream. They worked hard, persevered, became business owners, and are now proud U.S. citizens—the right way! That should be the ONLY way!

In recent months alone, the California National Guard had to increase their border presence by 50% since seizures of Fentanyl have increased by 480% since 2020. Not to mention, the Refugee Resettlement Program Camps are overflowing.

People need to understand that this is inhumane for Americans to allow, and relying on the welfare system funded by our tax dollars is not sustainable!

Is this the “American Dream” that once existed? We need to STOP this! We must have a STRONG border.

HEALTH CARE FOR VETERANS AND ALL
Veterans have played a significant role in securing and bettering our nation, yet many find it difficult to access the healthcare benefits afforded to them. We need to provide better resources and guidance to them and properly thank them for their service.

Additionally, 49% of Californians skipped or postponed some type of healthcare in the last 12 months due to high costs. This needs to change! Tax dollars need to go to the right place.

As citizens of a democracy, we should have the choice of how and when we want to get vaccinated. That decision should be ours, as well as the decision for parents regarding their children.

PUBLIC SAFETY, FUND OUR POLICE & FIRE DEPARTMENT
Growing up in the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, and Ontario, Vijal Suthar never worried about her safety. In the last two years, our district has seen a rise in robbery, theft, auto break ins and violence. This is a sign that something is not right.

Our neighborhoods are not as safe as they once were. We need to fund the police so they can perform their duties to put and KEEP criminals behind bars and bring them to justice! Closing jails and simply giving a ‘slap on the wrist’ is not working. We NEED our neighborhoods to be safe again for us and our children!

What I mean by FUND OUR PROTECTORS also includes our brave Firefighters! In the recent years California has been a target for wild fires and our brave men and women have helped us combat it. With an average pay of $21/ hour to start with? THIS IS NOT ENOUGH! If we can pass legislature to pay our fast food works more, we also need to reward our brave firefighters! They work day and night to make sure we are safe and that is only fair! FUND THE FIREFIGHTERS!

FINANCIAL EDCATION IN SCHOOLS
Financial literacy is of the top most importance and that is lacking in schools today. We need to add personal finance curriculum for our children to be financially educated before stepping into the real world.

Vijal Suthar attended the Oxford Preparatory Academy in 2011 in Chino, California. She graduated from Chino Hills High School in 2015, attended Norco Community College, and California Polytechnic University located in Pomona, California, while residing in Chino, and presently in the City of Ontario Ranch.

She understands the quality of education she received and the current state of education in our district. Despite having one of the best accessible education systems in the world, our children still fall far behind in comparison to the rest of the world. The knowledge needed to educate and raise future leaders is simply nonexistent.

We have the infrastructure and resources, but the quality needs to change. With the current far-left approach of introducing subjects like “Ethnic Studies” or LGBTQ+ topics, it is going to “dumb down” and “confuse” the students even more. Schools are a place to gain knowledge, prepare students for the real world, and life.

This is not the space to explore genders or figure out how one feels. It is a place for future leaders and the next generation who are going to lead our country. Additionally, she believes parents have the right to know what is going on with their children until they are mature enough to make their own decisions after the age of 18.[2]
