General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 14.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Rosemarie Montalbano. [7]

Martusciello ran for election to the New York City Civil Court, Brooklyn. General: He was defeated by ShawnDya L. Simpson in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 15.3 percent of the vote.[3][8]

2012

Martusciello was one of four candidates competing for two positions on the New York City Civil Court of Kings County in the general election on November 6, 2012. He was defeated after receiving 23.55 percent of the vote in the general election.[9][10][11]

Martusciello ran for election to the New York City Civil Court of Kings County on November 8th. He was endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties. Martusciello was defeated in the general election, receiving 7.57 percent of the vote.[12]

Judicial selection method

Judges of the New York City Civil Court are each elected to 10-year terms in partisan contested elections, with one exception. Judges of the New York City Housing Court are appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge and serve five-year terms. To serve on this court, a judge must be a state and city resident, at least 18 years old and practice in the state for 10 years. This court has a mandatory retirement age of 70 years old.[14]
