Vince M. Rozier Jr.
Vince M. Rozier is a judge for Judicial District 10B of the North Carolina 3rd Superior Court Division. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Rozier (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Judicial District 10B judge of the North Carolina 3rd Superior Court Division. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Rozier was previously a judge for the 10th Judicial District from 2006 to 2010 and from 2011 to 2017.[1] He was first appointed to the court by former Governor Mike Easley in 2006 and was sworn into office on February 24 of that year. He was elected to a full term in November 2006. Rozier was defeated in his re-election bid by Michael J. Denning in November 2010; he was reappointed to the court, however, by former Governor Bev Perdue in May 2011.[2][3] The North Carolina Superior Courts are split into five divisions and 48 districts. Superior court judges rotate among the districts within their division every six months.[4] However, superior court judges are elected by voters in their district and must reside in the district in which they are elected.[5]
Rozier ran for a seat on the North Carolina Court of Appeals in the 2016 elections.[6] Rozier was defeated.
