Klype provided the following statement on her campaign website:

I am running because I want to represent the students, the parents, the teachers, the staff, our community and our taxpayers. I believe working together we can make Tempe Union High School District exceptional. As a long- time resident of the district and as a parent, I would be honored to be your voice.

What is important to me?

In these uncertain times, we’re faced with a complete overhaul of our school curriculum as dictated by the federal government in the form of the Common Core State Standards Initiative.

Growing up in Poland in a similar system, I understand how government encroachment can effect a child’s education. While living in Poland, I was taught inaccurate, rewritten history as a child. Our oppressors were portrayed as heroes and our brothers. I was lucky to have true history lessons at home.

It is imperative our children are taught accurate and factual material.

We have a duty to make sure our children will receive the best possible education taught by inspiring teachers with the best educational resources. Our demanding world requires the students are successfully prepared for its challenges. We should expect responsibility, accountability, transparency and parental communication for the sake of our children.[2]
