I am an East Bay native, born in Fremont, raised in Union City, and educated in Hayward at CSU East Bay. I am running to bring a fresh perspective to Sacramento.
  • Prioritize the budget to value added areas for citizens
  • Work on legislation to reduce the impacts of special interest money in politics
  • Equip our school with resources to prepare our students better for jobs of the future
Political reform, I believe dirty money in politics is the root of most issues we face. I hope to reduce conflicts of interest amongst our elected officials and their donors when they make decisions impacting us.
I am very technical and into the nitty gritty details of legislation, and the budget especially. I also have a high ethical standard in myself, and will never compromise my integrity.
9/11, I was 9 years old and remember that day clearly. I remember being shocked by the television and seeing what was happening, without too much understanding of the impact it will have on our country, and the world. It hurt as an American, and it hurt again as a Sikh American. In the aftermath of the attacks many Sikhs were the victims of hate crimes and lost their lives as a result of ignorance and hate.
To be honest, we would probably be better off with one chamber. Less politicians to deal with sounds like a good idea.
No, you end up with the same people with the same ideas, I want more diversity in experience.
Dealing with the loss of jobs from automation, people don't realize how fast technology is progressing and how we have no plan as a state to combat the unemployment that will follow.
The budget committee, revenue/taxation, I think I'd be a good fit being the only accountant in the Assembly.
