Virgil Green
Virgil Green (Democratic Party) ran for election for Oklahoma County Sheriff. Green lost in the Democratic primary on June 30, 2020.
Green was a Democratic candidate for Oklahoma County sheriff in Oklahoma. He was defeated in the special primary election on April 4, 2017.
Biography
Green earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the American Military University. He has also studied criminal justice at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.[1][2]
At the time of his 2017 run for office, Green was the chief of police for the Helena-West Helena Police Department in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. His professional experience includes work as the police chief for the Spencer Police Department in Spencer, Oklahoma, and the Boley Police Department in Boley, Oklahoma. Green has also served as the director of public safety for the IPC International Corporation, the Oklahoma state executive director for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, the president of the Oklahoma City Metro Chief's Association, and a member of the executive board of the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs.[2][3]
