Campaign themes

2014

On his campaign website, Wallace highlighted the following issues:[1]

Neighborhood revitalization

  • Excerpt: "We need to have the services our families depend on in our own community, like fire stations, paramedic and medical facilities, grocery stores, community centers, libraries and comprehensive youth and after-school programs. We all have solutions to address the decade-long problems that our community has been faced with."

Business development and growth

  • Excerpt: "I will advocate for local-hire and infrastructure development to key stakeholders, including businesses, nonprofits, labor commissioners, and local clergy. I will address the unemployment/underemployment concerns by hosting district wide employment seminars. As a member of the Council, I will build on the progress we make through this campaign and initiate more development and growth while in office."

Neighborhood safety

  • Excerpt: "Keeping our families and community safe is my top priority. With over twenty years in the protective services field and a security services business owner, I have a proven record of protecting your best interests, families and businesses. When we have an environment infested with crime, it is an indicator of economic and morale decline. We can not revitalize our communities until we work together to adequately fund and staff our communities with individuals and companies that can help provide this public safety."
