Virginia Madueno (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California's 10th Congressional District. She lost in the primary on June 5, 2018.

Madueno was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown (D) in 2013 to the California Boating and Waterways Commission.[1][2]

Biography

Madueno earned her B.A. in communications from CSU Stanislaus. Her professional experience includes serving as president of Imagen Public Relations.[1]

Elections for the California State Assembly took place in 2016. The primary election was held on June 7, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was February 25, 2016, for candidates filing with signatures. The deadline for candidates using a filing fee to qualify was March 11, 2016.[3] Incumbent Kristin Olsen (R) did not seek re-election.
