The Virginia and West Virginia Boundary Agreement of 1863 is an interstate compact between Virginia and West Virginia. The compact is the original boundary agreement drawn up between the two states after West Virginia officially became a state in 1863. It has subsequently been replaced by the Virginia and West Virginia Boundary Compact of 1959, which was later superseded by the Virginia and West Virginia Boundary Compact of 1998.[1]
