I am a first-generation immigrant from India who was welcomed to this amazing land by wonderful, decent, and trusting people. I am running for Governor this September as a write-in candidate.

It breaks my heart to see the 3rd world style political theater in our great state and country.

As someone who had the good fortune of living and working across the world, I can say hand-on-heart there is still no other country even close to us.

We have problems. Big, urgent problems. And Sacramento seems to have lost its way.

But don't believe the naysayers. There are a lot of voices telling us the sky is falling, and that California or the USA is done. They are wrong. As a wise man said, "Don't ever bet against the US (or California)!"

I have raised my hand to be counted. We owe our kids and future generations to leave the state, country, and world a little bit better for them.

I have started and run 2 small biz. I have been a senior global executive running a big organization. A spiritual seeker on an intense personal journey. A husband, father, son, friend...... and now someone willing to climb this mountain to do my bit for the next generation.

  • We need to focus on the REAL PROBLEM if we want to fix what troubles CA. No shouting or finger-pointing about irrelevant topics.
  • The problem is Inequality, driven by unequal wealth creation. Short-sighted policies from Sacramento have added to the problem.
  • We are Americans first, then Republicans or Democrats. The sane Silent Majority of Americans also needs a seat at the table.
Decrease Inequality across the State and Country. Decrease Inequality by making the poor rich, not the rich poor.

In our problems lies the massive opportunity for our next generation wealth-generating and employment opportunities for all of our citizens.
Identity politics needs to stop.
Anyone who can, should work. Anyone who can not, deserves our total love and support.
Borders are there for a reason. We need humane but strong control over borders.
Law and Order are the bedrock of a civilized society. No one can break the law.
We are the richest, most powerful country in the world. All our citizens should feel like it. Opportunities and safety nets should be the envy of the world.

Throwing more money on problems does not solve the problem.
I get the shivers when I read Dr. Martin Luther King's I Have A Dream speech. What simple eloquence that touches the heart!

I respect what Edmund Pat Brown was able to achieve as the Governor of California. The California State Water Project that provides water to a lot of Californians was his vision. He also reorganized the California University system to enable it to become the powerhouse it is today. Bottom line, I love the vision to solve problems for future generations.

Gov Ronald Reagan has been another influence.

There are others from other cultures. All different personalities, and with differing world views. Which is perfectly fine.

Countless, un-named heroes who make our lives better every day.

One life. Many Roles. Father, husband, biz guy, corporate executive, spiritual seeker, lost soul and found soul, friend...... Grace flows.

I think my viewpoint as a first-generation immigrant to this country and state is valuable. Too many of us have forgotten how good it is here. I can understand why. There is pain. And no one seems to be stepping up to solve the problems. But I am grateful for what we have while working towards fixing what needs to be fixed.

I am a problem solver, not a point fingers kind of guy. And I really don't care who takes the credit as long as the job gets done. I would like nothing more than to walk away after 10 years, back to my spiritual journey and perfecting the art of making a great cup of coffee!!
Leave the world a bit better than what we inherited for our future generations.

Leave the world totally burnt out after giving all I have. No regrets!

Do my bit to reignite and replenish the body, mind, and spirit of our state, country, and the world.
I founded and ran a small manufacturing business. I ran it successfully for 5 years.
Tons of books of all kinds. My favorite book is the one I am reading now. When I pick the next book, that one becomes my favorite.

All books, ideas, and thoughts have something to teach us. We just need to listen. Or read :-)
Myself.

All of our lives are basically stories we tell us. Heroes, victims, good, bad, happy, sad.

The good part is that we can start a new story any time.

One life, many roles! As Shakespeare said. All of Life is a stage....
Imagine!

You may say I'm a dreamer. But I am not the only one.

Someday you'll join us...
To be happy, no matter what happens.

I have been an extremely goal-driven person, which is good in that it enabled material success. But in the end, we realize that the finest things of life are free! Love, friends, family, health, happiness. ...

The past 10 years of my spiritual journey have taught me to be happy irrespective of what happens. Now I am happily doing all I can. The chips will fall where they may.
The buck stops here.

But there is a difference between running a small company and a huge organization. I have done both, so I had to learn.

The job of running any massive organization is complex. It is not about command and control. But rather it is about communicating the message, getting buy-in from different stakeholders, and building coalitions to get work done. It is a fine balance. It is not 'cool' or 'sexy' But that is the way for long-term success.

We have problems. Urgent problems. But they are all solvable. And in our problems lie the opportunity for us!

The initial focus would be to Communicate with and Align 40Million Californians on the problems, priorities, and the way forward.

Then shift to being an enabler for the energy in the state to get things done.

Set ambitious goals. Then watch California roar!

We are the state and nation of entrepreneurs, and dreamers. We need big mountains to climb.

Today, our leaders have forgotten how to dream big! Once we align on the goal, no one can stop us!

And as someone said, "It is amazing how much can be done if you don't want to take credit"
I think in some ways it is the wrong question. The role of any leader of a big, complex organization is to find the best possible people to do various jobs. And then enable them to do their jobs! It is not the leader's job to know everything or be an expert in everything. I think that is one problem with today's politics. The Politicians seem to have a view on everything, even when they know nothing about the topic!

It is the leader's job to define the direction and goals. Then t is a matter of some give and take to get to alignment on the budget where everyone is happy or everyone is a little bit unhappy!
Balance of power is needed. But there needs to be some level of integrity and trust, not 24/7/365 back-stabbing and grandstanding. We are falling behind as a country because our leaders seem to be intent on scoring points, instead of getting things done.
It is the 5th largest economy in the world. The richest, most powerful state in the country. The land of entrepreneurs and dreamers. The Golden State is blessed with everything!!
Solving for Inequality. The richest state in the country can not have homelessness, power cuts, water shortages, unaffordable housing, an angry or checked out population. It is Sacramento's job to get everyone engaged again. To rebuild the State for the next 50 years. To again make it the role model for the rest of the country and the world.
Dad Joke: Groan

Why did the football coach cross the road?

To get his quarter back!

Me ROFL while the kids roll their eyes and groan, on cue!!
