W. David Dugan was a Brevard County judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected on November 3, 1998 and took office the following January. From 2008 to 2009, he served as Acting Chief Judge. He ran unopposed and was retained in 2010 to a six-year term that ended on January 2, 2017.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

Dugan received his B.A. degree (in Criminal Justice) from the University of Florida in 1975 and his J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 1978.[1]

Career

Dugan began his career in 1978 in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps. He worked as a private practice lawyer in Brevard County from 1981 until he was elected to the circuit court in 1998.[1]

2010 election

Dugan ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[4]
