W. Dwayne Maynard was a General Division Judge on the Franklin County Municipal Court in Franklin County, Ohio. He served on the court from 1993 and to January 1, 2012.[1]

2011 election

Maynard will compete against David Young in the primary election on November 8, 2011.[2]

Education

Maynard received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1980 and his J.D. from The Ohio State University in 1985.[1]

Career

Maynard began his legal career as Night Director for the Hearing Office in the Columbus City Attorney's Office. In 1985, he became the Director of the Bad Checks Program for the City of Columbus. Two years later, he became an assistant city attorney in the Criminal Division, a position he served in for six years. Maynard was appointed to the court in 1993 by Governor George Voinovich.[1]
