W. Kevin Hughes was a member of the Maryland Public Service Commission from 2011 to 2018. He served in this position from August 2011 to June 30, 2018.[1][2]

In December 2012, Hughes was appointed the new chairman of the PSC by Gov. Martin O'Malley (D). He took over the role in January 2013.[3]

Prior to his appointment to the Maryland Public Service Commission in 2011, Hughes served as Gov. Martin O'Malley's deputy legislative officer for five years. He was also a principal analyst for the Maryland Department of Legislative Services, deputy legislative officer under Gov. Parris Glendening, and legislative officer under Gov. William Donald Schaefer.[1]
