Walt Ranta

Walta Ranta currently represents Position 2 on the Yakima Board of Directors in Washington. He was first elected to the board in 2005. Ranta won re-election without opposition in the November 5, 2013 general election.
Biography
Ranta earned a B.A. in Secondary Education from Central Washington State College in 1974. He worked as a teacher in area schools including Washington Junior High School and A.C. Davis High School until his retirement in 2008. Ranta has one child currently teaching at a district school as well as grandchildren attending district schools.[1]
