Walter Croskey
H. Walter Croskey was an associate justice on the Second District, Division Three of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by former Governor Deukmejian, taking his oath of office on November 20, 1987. Croskey passed away on August 29, 2014.[1]
Education
Croskey received his bachelor's degree in law enforcement and police administration from the University of Southern California, School of Public Administration in 1955. He then attended the University of Southern California Law Center until 1958, when he received his law degree.[2]
Career
Croskey began his legal career on May 1, 1959, serving in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps as a commissioned officer. On April 20, 1962, he left the Navy and began a private practice of law. He worked as a lawyer in Beverly Hills and Century City for 23 years before becoming a judge. He joined the Los Angeles County Superior Court bench on January 4, 1985, and worked there until he became an appellate judge in 1987.[2]

2010
Croskey was retained to the court of appeals in 2010 with 63.6 percent of the vote.[3]
