Walter I. Lanier III (Republican Party) is a judge of the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal 1st District. He assumed office on January 1, 2019. His current term ends on December 31, 2028.

Lanier (Republican Party) won election for judge of the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal 1st District outright in the primary on November 6, 2018, after the general election was canceled.

Lanier was a judge in the 17th Judicial District, Division C in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, from 2003 to 2018. He was elected to this position on May 4, 2002.[1][2]
