Walter L. Schafer, Jr.
Walter L. "Skip" Schafer Jr. was a judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by former Governor Jeb Bush (R) in December 2005 and took office the following January.[1][2] Schafer died on January 27, 2017.[3]
Biography
Schafer received his B.A. from Florida State University and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School.[4] Schafer began his career as a tax attorney in Clearwater, Florida. He worked for various firms as a private practice lawyer, specializing in taxation, estate planning, will, and real estate law.[1][2]

As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot.
