Walter Nixon
Walter Louis Nixon, Jr. (b. 1928) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
Nixon was nominated to the Southern District of Mississippi by President Lyndon Johnson on May 29, 1968, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 6, 1968, and received commission the next day. From 1982-1989, he served as the chief judge. He served the Southern District of Mississippi until his impeachment and conviction on November 3, 1989.[1]
