Walter Osborne was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 10 of the Florida State Senate. Osborne submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:

In 2012 in District 10 (Seminole and south Volusia), an unknown got about 45 percent of the vote and he spent less than 6K. Amazing. So I decided to see what kind of percentage I could get, with an ace of a background--retired University Professor (33 years), plus real-world company experience in a company that had R&D, manufacturing, and marketing.[1]
