Walter Osborne
Walter Osborne was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 10 of the Florida State Senate. Osborne submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:
“ | In 2012 in District 10 (Seminole and south Volusia), an unknown got about 45 percent of the vote and he spent less than 6K. Amazing. So I decided to see what kind of percentage I could get, with an ace of a background--retired University Professor (33 years), plus real-world company experience in a company that had R&D, manufacturing, and marketing.[1] | ” |
Biography
Osborne is a retired university professor. He also has experience working for a company that specialized in research and design, manufacturing and marketing. In addition, he has five years experience in virtual education.[3]

Elections for the Florida State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent David Simmons was unopposed in the Republican primary and defeated Walter Osborne (I) in the general election.[4][5]
