Walter Lyndon Pope was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He was nominated by Harry Truman on February 14, 1949. The Senate confirmed his on February 25, 1949, and received his commission on March 1, 1949. Pope assumed senior status on April 1, 1961. His service ended with his death on March 27, 1969.[1]
