Campaign themes

Ruehlig detailed his vision for the district on his campaign website:

Antioch is challenged by the consequences of urban explosion. We must navigate the transition from small town to cosmopolitan city by proactively modeling best practices.

I offer innovation and proven governance skills. With my talent for listening, consensus building and probing for alternatives, I will motivate vigorous exchange of productive ideas.

I have relentless commitment to public safety, budgetary restraint, a conducive business environment, sound educational partnerships and tough ordinances for blight and landlord-neglect.[7]
