The Washington Corruption Tax Measure, Initiative 1381 was not on the November 3, 2015 ballot in the state of Washington as an Initiative to the People. If approved by voters, the measure would have done the following:[1]
- Imposed a tax on the income of state bar associates and judges based on the number of grievances filed with the state bar association and the judicial conduct commissions

This measure would impose a tax on the income of Washington state bar associates and judges based on the number of grievances filed with the State bar association and the judicial conduct commission. Should this measure be enacted into law? Yes [ ] No [ ][2] |

Ballot measure summary
The ballot summary was as follows:[1]
“ | This measure would tax Washington state bar associates’ combined disposable income. Taxable income would include the income of the individual, their spouse or domestic partner, and residential cotenants, less amounts paid for assisted-living or prescription drugs. The tax rate would be determined by dividing the total number of grievances filed against attorneys by the number of bar members. Judges would also pay based on the number of judicial grievances and the number of judicial positions.[2] | ” |

This measure was sponsored by Bill Scheidler. Supporters called the measure "Imposition of a "CORRUPTION TAX" upon all WA State Bar Associates."[1]
Path to the ballot
Supporters were required to collect at least 246,372 valid signatures by July 2, 2015, in order to land the initiative on the ballot.
