The Washington Evergreen State College, Initiative 1146, did not appear on the November 2011 statewide ballot in Washington as an Initiative to the People.
This measure would have ceased operation of The Evergreen State College at the end of the 2011-2012 academic year. Additionally, the measure would have repealed the requirement that each board of state college trustees appoint a treasurer.[1]

In order to qualify for the ballot, supporters were required to submit a minimum of 241,153 valid signatures. As of July 8, 2011, petition deadline day, no signatures were filed.
