The Washington Legalization of Brothels, Initiative 1398 was not on the November 3, 2015 ballot in the state of Washington as an Initiative to the People. If approved by voters, the measure would have done the following:[1]
- Legalized brothels in all counties in the state
- Allowed counties to vote on whether or not to allow brothels in their county
- Limited placement of brothels to the outskirts of towns with less than 20,000 people and Indian reservations

Path to the ballot
Supporters were required to collect at least 246,372 valid signatures by July 2, 2015, in order to land the initiative on the ballot.
