The Washington Medical Marijuana Licensing Board Measure, Initiative 1372 was not on the November 3, 2015 ballot in the state of Washington as an Initiative to the People. If approved by voters, the measure would have done the following:[1]
- Created a board to license, regulate and allow for medical cannabis production, processing and sales
- Imposed fees on licensees
- Adopted tax exemptions for medical cannabis
- Adopted other cannabis-related laws

The official ballot title was as follows:[1]
“ | Initiative Measure No. 1372 concerns marijuana, also known as cannabis.
This measure would create a board to license, regulate, and allow for medical cannabis production, processing, and sales; impose fees on licensees; adopt tax exemptions for medical cannabis; and adopt other cannabis-related laws. Should this measure be enacted into law? Yes [ ] No [ ][2] |

“ | This measure would create a seven-member board to license and regulate commercial medical cannabis dispensers, producers, and processors; impose fees; adopt a tax exemption; allow cannabis use by minors; require video evidence of impairment to use THC blood concentration evidence; authorize use by non-residents; limit housing discrimination ; require siting of medical cannabis licensees by local governments; restrict employment-related testing; add defenses to criminal prosecutions; limit cooperation with federal investigations; and adopt other cannabis-related laws.[2] | ” |

This measure was sponsored by Kirk Ludden and James Barber Sr. Supporters called the measure "Cannabis for medical use 12."[1]
Path to the ballot
Supporters were required to collect at least 246,372 valid signatures by July 2, 2015, in order to land the initiative on the ballot.
