Washington School District Bond Measure (November 2010)
A Washington School District Bond Measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the Washington school district which is in Tazewell County.
This measure was approved
- YES 4,418 (54.9%)
- NO 3,623 (45.1%)[1]
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $10.2 million in order to help pay for construction and renovations to various school buildings in the district. A previous vote held in April 2009 failed. This time, school officials were out educating residents on the issue and what the money would be used for if it is approved. Officials hoped that with more understanding of the issue more would vote in favor. School officials could not take a stand on which way to vote, but could just offer the facts of the measure.[2]
