The Washington Signature Gathering Time for Initiatives Measure, Initiative 1376 was not on the November 3, 2015 ballot in the state of Washington as an Initiative to the People. If approved by voters, the measure would have done the following:[1]
- Increased signature-gathering time for initiatives
- Allowed initiatives to be filed 20 months before a legislative session or election
- Required a vote of the people on qualifying initiatives

This measure would increase signature-gathering time for initiatives by allowing initiatives to be filed twenty months before a legislative session or election, and require a vote of the people on qualifying initiatives. Should this measure be enacted into law? Yes [ ] No [ ][2] |

The ballot summary was as follows:[1]
“ | This measure would expand the time for collecting signatures supporting initiative measures proposed for submission to the voters or the legislature by allowing initiatives to be filed twenty months before the election at which they are to be submitted or before the next regular legislative session. State and local initiatives with a sufficient number of valid voter signatures and submitted within the required timeframe must be submitted to voters at the next election date.[2] | ” |

Path to the ballot
Supporters were required to collect at least 246,372 valid signatures by July 2, 2015, in order to land the initiative on the ballot.
