A Washington Township Current Expenses Tax Levy Replacement question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Hardin County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.
This question authorized the township of Washington to impose a replacement property tax levy of 2.5 mills ($2.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund current expenses.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Washington Township for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.
