A Washington Township Roads Tax Levy question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Stark County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.

This question authorized the Township of Washington to renew a property tax levy of 1.25 mills ($1.25 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund the construction and maintenance of reads and streets.[1]

Language on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Washington Township for the purpose of providing for the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges at a rate not exceeding one and twenty-five hundredths (1.25) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twelve and one-half cents ($0.125) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.[1][2]
