Two Watervliet Township Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the May 3, 2011 ballot in the township of Watervliet which is in Berrien County.

Though two questions were on the ballot, both were the same. They sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services offered in the township.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Watervliet Township be renewed at 1 mill ($1.00 per$1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2011 through 2014 inclusive for the township fire protection services; and shall the Township levy such renewal in Millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $131,180.44 based on 2010 taxable value, taxable value for 2011 not being available until March 2011.[3] |
