This question authorized the County of Wayne to renew a property tax levy of up to 1.6 mills ($1.6 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for ten years in order to fund the County Children Services Board and children related services.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Wayne County for the purpose of providing the care and placement of abused, neglected and dependent children, and the support of the Wayne County Children Services Board at a rate not exceeding 1.6 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amountsto sixteen cents ($0.16) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for ten (10) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.[1][2] | ” |
