Wayne E. Johnson is a federal bankruptcy court judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Central District of California. He was appointed on February 28, 2011, and retired on February 27, 2025.[1][2]

Education

Johnson received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1989 and his legal degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.[1]

Career

Johnson worked as a bankruptcy attorney in Los Angeles with the law firms of Lewis, D’Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard LLP (1994-1996) and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP (1996-2003). He also worked as an adjunct professor of law at Trinity Law School from 1999 to 2001. He then worked as a sole practitioner from 2003 until his appointment to the bankruptcy court in 2011.[1]
