Wayne Pettigrew
Wayne Pettigrew was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Oklahoma.[1] Pettigrew was defeated in the Republican primary on June 26, 2012.[2]
Biography
Pettigrew began his career in insurance brokerage in 1984. In 2004, he founded two companies in Oklahoma specializing in life and health insurance. Pettigrew served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1994 to 2004. During his time in office, Pettigrew was elected Assistant Minority Leader by his peers, and served as the Republican's Chairman for Candidate Recruitment.

2012
Pettigrew ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Oklahoma's 2nd District. Wallace sought the nomination on the Republican ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates who wished to run was April 13, 2012. Pettigrew faced Markwayne Mullin, George Faught, Dustin Rowe, Dwayne Thompson and Dakota Wood in the primary on June 26, 2012. The incumbent from the 2nd Congressional District is Dan Boren (D), who did not seek re-election in 2012. Pettigrew was defeated in the Republican primary on June 26, 2012.[2]
