Wayne Raasch
Wayne Raasch (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 22nd Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary on March 5, 2024.
Raasch was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 27th Congressional District of Texas.[1] Raasch was defeated by Raul (Roy) Barrera in the Democratic primary on March 1, 2016.[2]
Raasch was a Democratic candidate for the District 28 in the Texas House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections.

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Blake Farenthold (R) defeated Raul (Roy) Barrera (D) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Farenthold defeated Gregg Deeb in the Republican primary on March 1, 2016, while Barrera defeated Ray Madrigal and Wayne Raasch to win the Democratic primary.[3][2]

Raasch ran for election to the 28th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the March 2nd primary. He was defeated by Republican incumbent John Zerwas in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]
