A Weaverville/Douglas City Parks and Recreation District parcel tax, Measure U ballot question was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the Weaverville/Douglas City Parks and Recreation District in Trinity County, where it was defeated.
If Measure U had been approved, it would have allowed the Weaverville/Douglas City Parks and Recreation District to impose an annual special tax of .00015 of the assessed value of each parcel of improved property in the district. The funds would have been used "only for maintenance, operation, and upgrade of the Lowden Park pool facility."
A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval.
